Battery Service or Failure
Note that in most cases, the provider will not jumpstart a motorcycle with battery failure. In these cases, the roadside assistance plan will provide motorcycle towing to the nearest qualified repair facility.
Having Roadside Assistance coverage provides peace of mind should anything take place on your next ride. Harley-Davidson® Insurance’s Roadside Assistance coverage is an affordable way to ensure your ride continues as planned.
The below coverages and benefits apply only to motorcycles with premiums shown on your Declarations Page. When you call the toll-free number, emergency roadside assistance will be dispatched.
Once a photo identification is provided, your motorcycle will either be serviced or towed depending on your motorcycle’s disablement.
With Harley-Davidson® Insurance’s emergency roadside assistance coverage, you can have some peace of mind riding along with you at a very reasonable annual rate.
Unfortunately, some breakdowns are impossible to prevent. When towing service is required, you can feel confident that your motorcycle will be towed to the nearest qualified service facility by a towing service that has motorcycle handling expertise – and not everybody does!
All roadside assistance services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to covered members and include the following services:

Unlike cars, motorcycles usually do not have spare tires. Therefore, the coverage can help tow the bike to the nearest qualified repair facility, where the tire can be replaced if possible.
Our motorcycle roadside assistance service can deliver the following if you get stuck on the road because your bike needs more gasoline or fluids:
Fuel: gasoline
Fluids: oil, water, or other fluid
Note, fuel or fluid costs must be paid for upon delivery.
Whether your keys are stolen, lost, or accidentally locked inside your saddlebag, a qualified service provider will be dispatched to assist you. You will only be responsible for the costs to replace the keys.
Note: Only a trained Harley-Davidson® technician can program a new FOB. As a result, if a FOB is lost or stolen it will require a tow to the nearest qualified repair facility.
Roadside assistance is a nice perk for motorcycle riders, but there are exclusions. The following are some of the costs not included in this coverage:
Parts
New keys
Costs for storage
Impound towing service

More often than not, major breakdowns will require major repairs above and beyond a roadside service mechanic call. Roadside assistance is best used for more fundamental issues like a flat tire or an empty gas tank. That said, roadside assistance coverage can organize motorcycle towing for several serious issues, including major collisions and property damage.
When your motorcycle requires emergency towing, it will be towed to the nearest qualified service facility free of charge.
This may not apply to all motorcycle insurance companies, but for most, using your roadside assistance coverage may not result in an increased insurance premium. That said, using it too often or abusing your roadside assistance benefits could result in cancelation of your roadside coverage.
Yes. It doesn't matter if you are on the road or at your home. If your motorcycle is disabled, roadside assistance is available wherever you need it and emergency service will be sent to the place of your motorcycle’s disablement.
